Ok Guys, sorry, but I did not get to the Toas Wool Festival. I did my regular Farmer’s Market at Santa Fe and had hoped to go up on Sunday, but didn’t do. The thought of dragging the kids out for an all day trip the day after market was just too much. I had joined MAVWA and had applied for a booth, but was still left at third in line on a waiting list. I will try again next year as a joint venture with my friends Deb Hayden and my new partner Carol Marler. Maybe the three of us will have better luck. Three is a magical number after all. I would welcome any comments from readers about what you all saw there and how things are going in the fiber world. I heard a rumor that handspun yarns are just not selling well there at Toas. Please tell me it isn’t so!!!

sorry that you didn’t get to the wool festival to see all the handspun wool, crocheted hats, knitted and woven vests, ponchos, shawls, coats. the wearables are always so spectacular. possibly the handspun wasn’t selling as well but it was, as usual, a treat to see so much beautiful work in one place. Next year…already looking forward to and get ready for! carol

Good luck on your lucky joint venture from Katy, Texas! I have seen Debra & Carole’s work, and they are both very talented-the three of ya’ll together should be a winner!
